I wore leggings as pants today!!!!

In light of Khris' and Dusty's recent confessional posts about PJ's, I am confessing to wearing leggings as pants today.

Emmy has a tummy bug and was violently sick over me this morning, once she was settled, I ran up the stairs and grabbed the first things I came across. Emmy remained grizzly for most of the day and it's only now at 5:30 that I have realised I AM WEARING LEGGINGS AS PANTS. I know you will all forgive my misdemeanor BUT I did not even notice.

I will probably be absent from the forum for the rest of the night but I will try my best not to commit a fashion crime tomorrow.

What's your confession?

p.s. Emmy is feeling much better now.

Oh! Poor Emmy and poor you! Glad that Emmy is feeling better and get some rest yourself.

Totally onboard with the fact that sick days get a pardon - whether you are the patient or the nurse.

I wish a peaceful night for all.

My house slippers have a hole in them - I'm still wearing them though.

I am glad to hear that Emmy is better.

My first thought at the title of your post was " NOOOOOO, say it isn't so. " After reading it, I thought, " Poor woman....." At that point, being decent is really the only thing to aim for.

Let's see, confession. I gained 20 pounds in 4 months after being in the hospital and being quite ill for some time. I bought larger clothes, but apparently, not large enough. I have been having horrific back pain. I was hospitalized after an artery burst in my stomach and i almost bled to death, so my doctors were going to run all these tests to make sure that wasn't happening again. ( I had had severe back pain before the artery burst ).

Then EUREKA ! One of them, the really cute one, looked at me and said, " I think your pants are too tight." I was flattered...he is so cute. But then he said, "no, your pants really are too tight." I was soooo embarrassed. Sure enough, my pants were putting pressure on a nerve against my hip bone and causing problems. I wonder how insurance will handle that one.

PS I bought bigger pants already.

Isabel - Sorry, I couldn't help giggling at the tight pants revelation. So does that mean that the artery burst was due to the pressure caused by the pants?!

Well now I admire you all the more for taking care of your sister even though you have some health issues of your own.

Under the circumstances, I will spare you of my ridicule Julie. Glad Emmy is on the mend.

Isabel, I have had a constant, intermittent pain in my right thigh for years now. I really think it might be due to my jeans. I wear them much less frequently now and I have noticed the pain is not as frequent. How awful that the doctor was cute! If the doctor were just ordinary or unattractive, then it would be okay...:p

I think we need to start a "confessions" thread where everyone can purge and purify their souls of these sins.

Um, well....I'm sitting at the computer right now wearing a fuchsia top and clam diggers. I also have on a pair of fuzzy mint green socks with pink and orange polka dots. My son just came home from school, took one look at me, and busted out laughing. It's that bad!

AJ - the tight pants was suppose to be funny...so giggle all you want ! I am fine now, so fine that I have been eating us out of house and home. And no, the artery burst for a whole other reason....but the symptoms that the tight pants were causing were mimicking the symptoms I had right before the artery burst so my doctors' were worried it may be happening again.

I was very skinny before and everyone chalked it up to metabolism, but I actually was quite ill and it eventually led to the artery bursting. So the weight gain is good.....but apparently, the sausage look is not ! : )

Maya, Rute may be right....he is very nice and much younger than me and apparently quite hip to how women's pants fit. And you may be right about your jeans. Apparently, they can trap nerves against your body if they are too tight of stiff.

Debora - you and everyone else who has apparently been looking at me for the past couple of months and thinking, " She needs bigger jeans " are relieved !

Julie hope emmy is well soon we forgive your faux pas x my confession is i went out in casual trousers, hoodie and trainers on sunday!! admitedly we were going for a walk but i felt horribly underdressed in the pub afterwards!! x

I'm glad Angie says that leggings as pants are ok on sick days, because I am ashamed to say that I started out 2010 wearing leggings as pants! My boyfriend and I had a new years party at some friends' house, drank a lot, and slept over. When we got home the next morning the skirt I wore the night before came off, but the leggings stayed on, and I spent the bulk of the day hungover wearing leggings as pants! Granted it's still my fault that I was "sick" because I drank more than I should have, and I felt SO un-fab starting the year off like that. Luckily the year has been pretty good so far, so I didn't mess it up too much by starting off so un-fabulously.

I went to the store late at night to pick up milk I think it was, and I wasn't wearing a bra. I felt like a thief! Crazy,hah!

Thank you so much for your concern, Emmy is fighting fit this morning and I have recovered from my moment of fashion lunacy :0)

I have to admit I'm loving the confessions, too tight trousers, bikini bottoms as underwear, more leggings as pants, holes in slippers and fluffy socks. You have brightened my day. I can appreciate your faux pas because I know you all look fab 99.9% of the time.
