but if I were running for office I think I'd make sure to have a nice hair style....

I'd rather have a candidate with messy hair than a candidate who spends $400 on a haircut (no names here either lol). I mean, I don't want the latter guy in charge of spending my tax money.

I can overlook the hair once I know the views (one of our local guys has the most absurd, fly-away um...something. Bald in the center, with fly-away hairs all the way around, especially up front, where it's sort of like an 80s wall-of-bang except without the Aquanet). I always think he really should get an appropriate haircut, but then he starts talking and it's all good. A decent haircut is certainly less distracting.

At the national level, they ALL spend $$$ on their hair, even the ones with crazy hairdos. They're politicians...it's just par for the course.

I don't really understand the contadicting views that individuals should be allowed to accumulate limitless wealth, yet once they achieve that level of wealth, they can't spend it however they want? John Edwards is a sleazeball, but the obsession with his haircut was just insane, if only because there was so much other, more relevant stuff to grill him over.

Given what all around freaks and disasters are either in office or running for office right now (on all ends of the spectrum), I'd be thrilled if bad hair was my biggest concern. Sigh.

I was coming from a purely personal frivolous vanity view with my comment... If *I* am going to be gracing the living rooms via television commercials of everyone in the state/country, I sure would hope that my hair looks nice... that's all I was saying.
keep to the issues ladies... clothing and hair... thats what were here for LOL

I'm still in the dark here, but hair is so subjective. I've given up trying to critique politicians on anything but their policies long ago.
I'm sure if I ran for office I'd have lots of criticisms. It's part of the job, I guess.
