I went shopping & I bought ...

First outfit post so here goes!!

I went shopping today but was distrubed all too soon by a baby who didn't want to sleep for very long I was really wanting to find a summer day dress for our hot Aussie summer but didn't have any luck there. I did get a tank and a couple of waterfall (?) cardies. I haven't removed tags so they can go back. Does the waterfall cardie work for my pear shape? Look forward to your feedback and advice.

Boy, I remember those shopping trips with babies who didn't want to cooperate! And I don't know if I commented earlier, but you look great for having a newborn. I hope you're getting some rest ;-0

I could be the odd one out here, but I'm not crazy about either of the cardi's. I think as a pear, you want to lift the eye upward to create balance and the waterfall of the cardi's pulls the eye down.
Now, if you have your heart set on a waterfall cardi, of the 2 I like the brown one better. The black and white one just doesn't seem to lay nice and tidy. I know it's a hot summer for you, but have you tried anything by way of a cardi cropped, and with little sleeves?
I do really like the white tank with the silver studding. I think that is the kind of thing you want to be looking for- it adds "weight" up top which is what you want to do as a pear.

okay, duh, you did get one with sleeves. sorry about that. try tying that black and white one in front and see what you think. I think that could be a much better look for you.

I like them both, though I prefer the second one. I am not partial to the sleaveless cardi look, but just personal preference.

I do adore the embellish tank though!

Good on you for braving the heat An - you've done wonderfully! Where did you find those waterfall cardies? I went looking about a month ago and had no success argh!!! And are they the Clarks Brulee sandals you are wearing? DId you track them down somewhere in Australia???

Hi Tam,

I think it was actually you that inspired me to try the sleeveless waterfall cardie when you were talking about it a while ago!! I got both cardies from Sussan's.

They are the Clarks Brulee sandals but I didn't find them in Aust. I ordered them online but ended up paying a bomb for postage. Do you order any clothes from overseas? If so, how do you go with postage?

Sussan's huh? I haven't been there for ages but will have to check it out. Every time I have tried something on there in recent years it just hasn't fit me correctly though!
