I'm on a Shopping Ban for October, and I have been pretty good. I did order two pair of shoes, but I desperately need those (feet are changing sizes again) and they were a steal. Last night, I went out shoppping to clear my head. I tried on a bunch of jeans, because when I come off of my shopping ban I need to buy some. I fould some that I liked (Levi's 505), but I didn't buy them. I also found a cute berry colored animal print cardigan from NY& Co for $10 at Ross, and I left that there, too.
I'm quite proud of myself.

I think this is excellent See, one of the things that happens to me due to ongoing weight loss is that I end up buying stuff that later on turns out to be a mistake. I'm still in that space where I'm just glad something fits, and end up snapping it up.

I really like what you're doing - going off and investigating the jeans and so forth. Reminds me of buying my first place - lots of open houses, checking things out and so on. That way, when it was time to buy - I *knew* I'd found a good thing.

I think I am going to take up your method. Seriously. Not necessarily a 'shopping ban', but I really do think looking around and trying on a whole bunch of stuff, getting the lay of the land, so to speak, is an excellent idea.

See, you're going to end up with Really Good Jeans out of this. As you try on more and more pairs, you'll get to know what works and doesn't work - who has what and so on. This is good!
