I too received faux leather pants ETA more pics in comments

I didn’t mean to piggyback on Carla, but some faux leather pants I ordered from LOFT have arrived today too.

They have the pleated top and are definitely not traditionally flattering, which is not necessarily The fabric is buttery and comfy! Surprisingly so! (I had pleather pants 20 years ago that were super awful and uncomfortable.)

Not sure if I will keep, but I wanted you all to see. It’s not “styled” - I just switched out my pants and tucked in the top I had on.

PS - new specs arrived. Trying to wear glasses more during the day—my script is very strong, and I never bothered to adjust to doing that before.

Thanks, Helena. I need to do an outfit lab to make sure I can style them, but I think the pants look good on my initial try on. I have bougth a few pairs of pants lately and need to assess whetre I am now!

And yes, this is a Boden top that is an OBG, part of my holiday capsule. I'm wearing it with Greenb pants I got from M&S, that are basically comfy lounge pants masquerading as cords. Perfect for WFH on a Friday!

Thanks, Suz! My new therapist says I've gone all French girl I will have to post soon about my pants buying journey anyway. My main concern here is to see what shoes will work. It's easy enough to pair with tops, tucked or not, I think.

Carla, it was more the coincidental timing that mine arrived after yours. Angie's post definitely got me considering these again after the horrors I endured 20 years ago! I remember going to clubs and sweating my butt off, even in winter. I won't be doing that now, anyway, even once covid eases up.

StagFash, I think I meant more JFE and didn't meant to imply unflattering. They do add a little bulk with the pleats around the belly, but you can't tell in that photo. I'm glad they come across as straight up flattering though

I like these a lot. They feel like they can get dressed up, or will work with a tee and sneakers. I hope these go into the keep pile.
And the glasses and bangs are a fun update. I was going to say Kind of a French girl vibe , but I see your therapist beat me too it.

I have an almost-poison-eye for pleated pants but I must say these look pretty good! Try some stylings and see if you may keep them because I think the idea of them is great. Your hair and glasses look nice too!

I tried a few things with the pants. Bonus pic of my face and hair (currently air drying) for Angie. My stylist and I are trying to lean into the natural wave I have.

Lighting is not great this time of year.

I am not too sure about the length, as Jules points out. Would it be better to hem them?

I think they can stay in the closet, though.

RobinF - while those are real buttons, they do not adjust the size of the pants.

They do fit really well and I think the length is good for these stylings (if you were going to wear bare ankles maybe shorter but probably makes no sense in your climate!).
