I think I found my "Little Black Dress" and skinny cargos?

This is the Gemma Wrap dress from Banana Republic. Oooh and ahh on how it feels on. It's so soft and comfy. I think it's a keeper. What do you ladies think?

Also, I'm trying out these skinny cargos from BR. Not sure on these. I feel like they might not be totally flattering on me from behind. Plus, the pockets kind of add to my hip width, no?

I LOVE the wrap dress. Definitely a keeper. On the cargos, I noticed the pocket placement on the hips before I read your intro so I think you can do better, personally. Like the shoes you wore with them. What brand are they (if you don't mind me asking)?

Yes to the dress! I'm not keen on the cargos, to be honest. Those back flap pockets, spaced so far apart, are nobody's friend :).

Thanks! I kind of figured that on the pants. I ordered them just to see if they would work. Check out the back side on this model. Makes me feel better...if they aren't flattering to her bottom, then they wouldn't be to mine.

Not sure you would consider Old Navy or not, but they have a similar pant right now with the pockets more on front than the side/hip. Only $10 - might be worth a shot? http://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/.....=onafcid89

Aww, thanks Mo! I saw those too, but they don't have any Talls left and I'm trying to avoid pants that hit at my ankle, which I'm pretty sure the regulars would.

Yes to dress, no to pants.
Being I'm quite hippy/ chunky in the thighs I've given up (almost) on skinnies, they seem to just emphasis my bigger areas. For some reason, even though you aren't that big compared with myself in this area, they seem to emphasis the same areas.

I'm bad at judging cargos, but that dress looks divine on you. In fact, it looks so god I'm thinking "get yourself a second one, even in the same color". You'll wear it again and again.
