I think I bought belly dancing pants

So I have loved the different bigger cuts of pants I have seen lately like the harem pants and I remember before spring reading here that culottes (sp?) would be back this year. So I some "unique" pants on the .50 rack and thought I would try them. I absolutely love them because they are really comfortable and almost look like a skirt. It will be fine if these are kept as loungewear for me. Anyway, DH thinks they are ridiculous and he may be right. Then I googled the brand (Chifon) and they seem like they are belly dancing wear! Which I find hilarious. But anyway, all that to ask you guys: should these pants never see the light of day? Be HONEST!

Because of the material, unless the wrinkles come out if you hang them a bit, I'd probably go the loungewear route. They'd also be awesome car trip pants. If the wrinkles come out and the fabric feels in good shape/not too thin and they go with a simple top and sandals, sure, wear them out as a super casual/quasi maxi skirt option. Just my 2 cents.

I agree with rabbit.

But I have a dear friend who is a belly dancer, so if you change your mind and want to give them away, I can probably give them a new home.

I think you should let them go because they are purple. You can do Unique, you can do Purple - but when you do Purple Unique, you quit your day job and start learning acupuncture from a guy who looks like Sonny Bono and whose name is Bob Appleby.

I'm just sayin'...

But seriously, I don't think you'll really be that into them in the end.

I've returned to talk about these green pants I had, that werelike your purple ones. I LOVED them. But I never wore them because I had nowhere to go in them. They were pretty much too funky for everything but lunch in the garden. And the wide legs were sort of an encumbrance...

Much as I love long wide legs they aren't the best for lounging, which for me means barefoot housework, in and out of garden, etc. I end up tripping over them or getting them wet and dirty outside. They would be good for true lounging I suppose!

For fifty cents, those are perfect lounge pants. And you could also go on a picnic and use the extra fabric for your tablecloth (just kidding)! I love the color and the fabric looks super soft.
