I've had this in my wishlist since the onset of spring. Originally $228, now $75. Great! Except, I won't be able to wear it all that much right now. Only about 4 days to wear "regular" clothes per week.

Ack, but I still adore the photo print, the bright blue near the face, and the material (silk, not that bathing suit material!). Wearable to Dress for Success, and "weekends."

It's gorgeous! And it's a great price. I would only pass on it if you don't thin you'll end up getting a good cost per wear out of it. It seems really versatile.

I say, go for it. I can see it casually worn with your boots in the spring. but also dressed up for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners.

Well, Rae, only 4 days per week of 'regular' clothes wear sure hasn't stopped Anna or I, has it?? LOL
Remember that you still have 'off' time even on work days where you will likely change out of uniform and still go about your day - out to eat, running errands, etc.

$75 down from $228 is my kind of sale. Since you have been waiting for it since Spring, I say go for it - you will probably regret it if you don't. And it is super cute, by the way! You could dress this up or down and get a lot of wear out of it.

I think you should go for it. You've had it on your mind since Spring and it's price has dropped so much, it's practically begging you to buy it!

Since you love it so, you'll definitely find ways to wear it as often and match it to the season too. Right now, with a pair of boots a jacket and you're ready. In winter you could wear it as a tunic over skinnies or tights and under other warmer layers. In Spring you can wear just the dress with casual flats or booties and in summer with thong sandals or those lovely 'cage' sandals (gladiator style)! If you're not convinced yet, It's still a gorgeous dress.

Well, you've run headfirst into a bunch of enablers, haven't you. I have to concur--this is an amazing piece. You will have plenty of time to wear it. Unless it's either this or another piece you desperately want, it seems like a no-brainer.

I love the print and shape - the only thing that's making me hesitate is the gathered shoulders. Have not seen you in that style. Of course, you can wear it since your shoulders are balanced but is it too frou for you?

It's a very pretty dress, and that is a great deal. Now, I haven't been on the site much lately and don't know if your style is changing, but I'm having trouble envisioning you in the dress. Something about the gathered sleeves and neckline make it a bit too sweet and girly for you. Am I wrong?

Another thought: is it a final sale or could you return it if it doesn't work out?

The print is great and up your alley, but I'm not so sure about the puffed sleeves and neckline gathers for YOU and YOUR style. Something about the style or cut feels a bit *off* to me.

I don't see you in this at all. I like the idea of it, but as Angie said, I think your style is going a different way. I would save the money for comfier shoes for working, and then once you have settled into your new routine, assess your lifestyle and wardrobe then.

I really like the print, but I'm not at all sure about the style for you.
If this were a solid color or a different print would you be attracted to this dress? I'm thinking that the answer would be no. I really don't see you in those gathers at the shoulders and that sleeve style.

I think another photo print will come along that has both the right style and a great print, so I'd pass on this one.

Rae, just adding I know some of us said the same thing (too girly) about the grass print dress which you have worn successfully... so I considered that too but am still a nay vote. I found my galaxy print and you will find your photo print!

First of all, what a gorgeous dress! I know that when I have an eye on something and I don't get it, I am usually really bummed about it later on. Usually, if after several weeks I am still thinking about an item, then I know I should get it. Often I write it down, and a couple of weeks later I look at the note again - usually when I go to write ANOTHER thing down! Sometimes I will think "why in the world did I want that?" but if I don't, well, there is another chunk out of the checking account! That said, however, this seems to be a very unique piece. Would it be something that you would be willing to repeat often enough to make it worth while? Or are you willing to wear it to special occasions? (in my mind, a special occasion something is a different case)

I understand how people would think it's not rae at all. However, I have full confidence that rae knows how to rae-ify things that come into her possession. It's not something everyone can do, but this is her genius. Not saying you should get it, rae. Just that it could work for you.

Ok, I went with my gut and many of your suggestions and decided to pass. I will instead enjoy my grass print and cloud print dresses as my nod to photo prints Even though I know I'd love this one as well, wearing it would cut into QT with the other dresses in my life, which also don't see as much play these days.

Angie is right; my lifestyle is in transition. I should be saving for insoles, Chie Miharas, or a trip now that my schedule is so much more flexible than it was.
