Wow! That turned out so amazing! Welcome, Madame Blueberry!!!

Oh wow! Just read through this thread from the beginning - I loved "seeing" the process rather than just hearing about it! Your bag is fabBluelicious!

You are so seriously awesome! Thanks for taking so many photos and sharing - this is what a person needs to see how it's done. Oh wait, I need to go page and see how long this took. I know I'd try to rush stages.

Thanks for all of your interest in this thread! I have an update.

I was sad that I lost the definition of the ostrich spots in the leather after dyeing. They were still raised, but you just didn't notice them as much. I had some leftover dark navy dye from another project, so today I used an eyeliner brush to dot each one with the darker dye. I think it helps bring back some of the dimension and richness I had lost. This is what you do when you have *way* too much time on your hands. DD is still recovering, so I'm obviously not going anywhere!

Wow. Just WOW. You took that old and worn bag and turned it into a gorgeous, brand-new looking treasure! Amazing. I absolutely adore the colour and I can hardly believe it went from the before pictures to this beautiful bag!

Time to check in with Bag-Dyers Anonymous... maybe?

It looks gorgeous, Claire!

WOW Claire, before knowing gorgeous You, I never tought this can be done and achieve fab results. I am really amazed on your DIY projects of colouring bags. Miss Blueberry is such a beauty! Wow! Oh WOW!:-)
Now, i want to dye a bag, too. Problem is, we don't have good quality thrift stores here, but still, will try to find something which worth my job:-)

Claire, I'm amazed at your creativity! This bag turned out gorgeous, and you have given me an idea and the incentive to dye one of my old worn out bags. It's a Brighton, nice thick leather, but boring chocolate brown. I would like to keep its matte finish though, so will look for some matte dye. Does the original color of the bag affect the color you want it to be? For instance, if bag is brown, and you want it to be red, does mixing the two colors give another result?

3.... I can't wait to see this
