I need help choosing

I am taking a trip to New Orleans in August to drop my grandson off at college. I will be attending orientation and hopefully doing some sightseeing . I need a new crossbody bag and I want one that lies close to the body and zips close. Here is want I have found. I cannot decide. Warning their are quite a few. I am leaning towards one but I want to see what the group collectively thinks.
The saddlebag has no measurements so may be out.

Do you want a lighter or darker colored bag?
I also like to have an outside pocket on my bags so I like consider that.
However that Madwell saddle bag had a great shape and fun guitar strap.
I also like the Madewell zip top transport. It has an outside pocket, is a good size and having the shoulder strap in addition to the shorter strap makes it versatile and easy to carry and pick up as you go from sitting to standing.

I like the color of the Kate Spade. With crossbody bags, I find I have to try them on to make sure they work for my frame.

I have this Brahmin bag (in a different color) and like it. Like all Brahmin bags, the leather is not soft but it is nice as a structured-looking crossbody.

I want a neutral bag. That will basically go with everything for traveling. I will confess I am leaning toward the transport. I have looked at so many bags I am cross eyed. I know I do not want black at the time.

Laura we were posting at the same time. I like that bag too. I also like the color of the Kate Spade. I know I better figure it out soon. I leave in 2 weeks. This summer has flown by.

Interestingly, I really like the Fossil bag. My second choice would be the bag with the tote handle, but the Nordstrom link just takes me to Nordy's main page and not the bag, so I don't know what brand it is.

my favorite of these is the Vince Camuto Corla, but I don't think you can go wrong with any of these. They are all good options.

For me I would immediately rule out the Vince Camuto one due to no zipper -I'm terrified of leaning over and having everything tumble out, So that's always the first requirement for me (and eliminates a lot of bags)

I also am kind of meh on the KS one b/c it doesn't look like there are any internal organization pockets in it? I find just having one little pocket for keys/phone/lipstick is so useful.

All the others I think are great and would need to try one /see in person.

If you go to Madewell website, the dimensions for the saddlebag are listed, and there are other colors. I can’t link, as I am traveling, but:

Zip closure.
21 1/2" crossbody drop.
10"H x 9 3/4"W at top, 10 1/2"W at base x 2 1/4"D.

I like the Fossil and the Kate Spade the best but agree with Angie about coordinating with the footwear. We did a lot of walking at orientation so I wore sneakers.

Angie great idea. One day of orientation is a little less formal that the other day. So probably Born sandals that day and pink sneakers the other.

I like the option of handles and a shoulder strap, so the Madewell Ziptop medium would be my first choice. After that, either the Fossil or the Kate Spade, depending on which color works best with your outfits.

To me the Kate Spade in the stone colour is a little more versatile; whereas I like cognac with other cognac shoes and leather goods ... But that is just my preference! I don't think there's a bad choice in this collection (which may be why you're having trouble choosing!)

The Kate Spade bag seems the most neutral choice. When wearing pink sneakers, the colour of the KS bag will probably be better than the other colours. It also looks more summer-ish than the others.

Hmmmm…especially for New Orleans in the summer, I’d go with which ever one is the lightest…when its hot and muggy i dont want to be carrying anything heavy. But YMMV

Debbie the two you are choosing between are lovely. If it were me though I would be picking the colour that matches your Born sandals most closely? It would look polished. And would still be nice with the pink sneakers?
So that might be the Vince Camuto?
ETA: if that one doesn’t zip up though, I might change my mind to whatever one does zip up and is closest in colour to the sandals.

I like a bag that opens on top and zips and has some interior pockets, but also believe in matching or blending a bag with footwear and even other accessories. Since it will be fall, think how each bag will look with your fall light weight coat.

Here in Texas it might be fall by Thanksgiving. This has been the hottest summer on record. It might be a little cooler in New Orleans but not much and it will be humid. I am hoping Fall comes soon.
