I'm happy with my summer footwear...but fall/winter is definitely sparse. I have 2 pairs of black booties, 1 pair of black leather "riding" boots, and 1 pair of Sorel winter boots - can you guess what colour? - surprise -black!
So there's a real hole...or an opportunity for development in the footwear department of my closet.

I purchased these biscuit coloured booties(kind of a suede type material) - thought they would be good with my boyfriends and bootcuts. It's an adjustment - because they're not black :-). Are they worth keeping? Do they look ok with the BFs?

I have those! Are they Dibas? I found mine at Winners and am amazed at how comfortable they are. Keep! They look nice with the jeans.

I think they look really good. If they are comfortable, I'd keep them as a nice change. They're pretty casual, but that's what you want them for. And they bookend your hair.

My only hesitation would be if these are going to be the ONLY new footwear; in that case you might want a bootie that is a bit more versatile. But if they're exclusively for jeans wear, I'd say go for it!

These booties look great with your BF jeans. I had the same question as Suz about whether or not this is going to be your only addition to your footwear?

I like these for their color and casual comfort. My question is for Suz and Shannon and the question of "versatile." What do you mean, Suz? Are you talking about a range from casual to dress? Is it the color or heel height? I'm curious and interested.

Not Suz, but for me the question of versatility related to colour and style - will these work with as many items as possible (other than jeans) if this is the only pair you will be purchasing.

I think you've made a fab choice for a non-black casual bootie that will work beautifully with jeans and other casual outfits. Well done!

I don't have any suede booties myself, but I'm looking at a few ....and the thing that comes to mind is that you probably want to get some sort of waterproofing/protectant type of spray. I don't have specific recommendations, but I *do* remember Angie mentioning several times that suede can be made more practical with a proper spray protectant.

In the meantime - these look great with your jeans.

These are gorgeous, and I think they'd work beautifully with what I've seen of your wardrobe. I do think covered heels are harder to keep looking nice --- particularly when you drive a lot (right heel gets worn) or in hard walking commutes. They're stunning enough, perhaps to warrant a little TLC

They look GREAT! I can't believe you've only had black boots. These bookend your fantastically!

ETA - I have fussy Seattle feet and suede is my go-to footwear material. If it's very light and very "nappy" then I'll use suede protectant on it, but I've NEVER had a problem. I think if you live somewhere were they salt the streets you might have a problem, but that's probably true of regular leather as well!

I like these a lot, and as Suz said, they bookend your hair beautifully. They are an awesome jeans boot and I wonder would you be wearing them with dresses or skirt too?

Quick response back - Ceit, Suz - we are bootie and shirt twins!
They are indeed Dibas, and I picked them up at Marshalls. Very inexpensive, so I am indeed open to another pair. Good question Deborah - I won't wear them with a skirt or dress - not the right colour for what's in my wardrobe - and they don't come in close enough around the ankle. what was the expression one of our ylfers used - "standing in flower pots" - that sums it up. Jeneva - I think black only boots were my norm - simply from a practicality viewpoint. Feels so good to have a colour breakthrough.
Thanks ladies for pointing out the bookending with the hair...I hadn't thought of that - and all the more reason to keep these - and good advice about protecting them for the winter!
