I need an advice for tommorow NAS appointment!

I was eying Halogen seamed pencil skirts in yellow and magenta and for the life of me cannot decide which color will work better for me. You guys have seen my total fall/winter wardrobe (black/grey/brown/teal/red/plum) and my coloring is warm - would you like to offer your opinion?

Sveta, I can see you more in the magenta personally.

I'm torn between both colors as well but am leaning towards yellow for me. The jury is still out until I see both in person, though.

Hmmm... I do not know- what color yellow is it? Magenta would work and probably also the yellow. Magenta is more likely to be an easier color to work with.

I guess I can get them both - returning would be an issue though as I would need to drive 2.5 h over the border again to return.
The only yellow items I have now are 2 scarves. I think if it is mustard yellow I can make it work but if it is a different shade of yellow that can be hard.
Jean, which colors should work with yellow?
I was also considering to get Halogen jacket in addition to skirt - e.g. yellow skirt - magenta jacket or opposite. This is a crazy idea, right?

The yellow is not a brownish yellow nor a citron yellow; it might be what Crayola calls ochre. I think it's more neutral than the magenta (which is gorgeous). I am actually debating this same choice myself!

Yellow can be worn with many colors:
grey, brown , black, eggplant, any kind of copper, white, off white.
It depends on how bright it is. It can also be worn with loads of shades of blue and green. It can be worn with orange also. If you want to color block , you can do that. I think a good combo is yellow with a black and white print.
I think that it depends on whether you are looking for drama and contrast or a more earthy vibe. Either can be done. I wish I could see the exact color- yellow can be all over the map. Ochre is more muted but from what I saw in the catolog- it seems brighter.

I have a mustard-colored pencil skirt that I love, but I find it somewhat tricky to wear in the wintertime, because I don't like black or brown tights with it (somehow black and gold is too bumblebee or harsh or something to my eye). I usually pair charcoal tights, and that works well, but I think it is slightly challenging (vs. a magenta, which I would easily pair with black tights) in that regard, at least from my pov. But you might love pairing it with brown, and you do have those lovely gray boots...You will obviously have to post pics of your finds so we can check everything out :)!
