I May Need a Boot Intervention:)

Hi Fabbers,

I have been so disciplined with my shopping of late that I allowed myself a fairly spontaneous purchase today:)

Of course I don't really need another pair of ankle boots.. but I LOVE this style of boot so much and during our winter I can honestly say I wear boots daily... how's that for justification??

Anyway, the afternoon lighting is awful but I wanted to show you. The close ups possibly make them look a little like "Goofy" shoes and while they are a tad chunky, they do fit and I don't think they look quite so goofy from a regular angle.

I have liked this style with the zippers for quite some time and don't even mind that they are gold (I am a silver person) as it's a nice change and I don't mind mixing metals.

These will be worn with leggings and/or skinny tucked into them and will be more of a casual boot than an office boot. WDYT... are they ok?

Photos not styled, Im pretty rate today:) Doing the dietary prep for a routine colonoscopy on Monday (hope that is not TMI) and I tend to feel a bit tired and flat during the process, but I love that I can post warts and all and you are all still so lovely and kind

Can I keep the boots??

I like the boots! They add a very interesting element to your style, and I don't think I've seen a similar style in your wardrobe. I bet you'll come up with many ultra fab ways to wear them.

Good luck with the prep and exam - I've had many colonoscopy's (bad family history) so I know what you're going through.

Deborah - hope all goes well and you're feeling better soon. that prep is nasty no matter how much they have improved it. Hugs, feel good and good lluck!! I really like those boots!! I wear boots or bootes every day too so it's important to have some really stellar and interesting ones especially for those all black days. I love the zipper detail. I think this is a perfect way to experience that trend and I don't think it will date on boots the way it might on a blazer or jacket. The shape is really pretty on your foot and I like the distressed heel - lots of nice but elegant texture. Although it may have been an unexpected purchase, I think it's a really versatile and well thought out fabulous addition!!

And thanks for your kind understanding. I am a bit of a sook, and the fasting and prep (I take tablets not the drink) are awful. The tablets are like horse tablets..enormous and you have to take 5 every 15 mins over an hour. I think half the challenge is getting my mindset right. This is routine for me, Karie like you, family history dictates I do this regularly. But at least I have cool boots... Might wear them to the hospital

Viva, they are Target:). I'm not sure how US target compares with Aust Target but over the years we have seen a vast improvement. I only have one other pair of target shoes and as a rule I generally avoid their footwear but these seemed a cut above the rest. Not leather, but a good faux leather, quite soft to touch. I was pleasantly surprised. I had popped in with Master 11 to get something he wanted to buy....and you know the rest:)
