As I posted earlier, my silver Docs arrived with some noticeable streaking on one of the shoe uppers. I photographed them and emailed ShoeBuy requesting that they pay for me to retun them (no free shipping to Canada) and refund me my money. Instead, they refunded me the cost of the Docs and the shipping and I get to KEEP the Docs. So, I now have a pair of moderately defective docs for the cost of border processing ($23). I'd like to try treating them with some silver or pewter polish before ordering a replacement pair. If it works, hey, FREE Docs!

So, does anyone know of a good silver or pewter shoe polish, or should I take 'em to the cobbler?

Here are images of the defect for those who didn't see the earlier thread:

I have to say that I'm really impressed with Shoebuy.com's service. They replied to my email within an hour or so and had everything sorted out within a few hours.
