Can I just share that Vince is really speaking to me lately? Maybe because my weight is up a bit (sorry, pathetic body conscious reason), but the drape and clean oversized lines are just irresisitible! I picked up a couple pieces including these sneaks with Shopbop's shop and save discount (on now, ladies!). Also this tunic from Nordstrom (I think Angie may have featured it once). It just got marked down by 40% AND Nordstrom price adjusted for me since I ordered it 4 days ago! Go Nordie's!

I am going to have to be choosy given Vince's price point, but I am hoping the pieces will be versatile and long wearing.

I'm with you! One of my favorite things to score at the thrift store and flea markets are Vince cashmere sweaters (and I've even bought a couple new at Nordstrom's annual sale, I liked them so much. I must own at least a dozen. Their size XS fits like a dream and the cashmere is SOOOOO soft. It completely solves my "I'm cold all the time" problem.

Have you tried their cashmere sweaters at all?

I recently tried on a pair of Vince leather pants in size small when I came across them at the consignment store NWT still attached (orginally $1150, at consignment for $150).

Alas, they were just way too big on me. I figured it was fate's way of saying I really didn't need another pair of leather pants

Hi Leaoparedluxe, I have not tried their cashmere...sounds addictive though. I have not come across any thrifted Vince here, but I don't thrift that much. Heartbreaking those leather pants didn't fit but you are so right - sale goggles can be blinding.

I second you! I also heart Vince! I am wearing some of his trousers today, and they are the best trousers ever. Look so polished and are like wearing jammies

High five! I love Vince, too (although you are right to say you must be choosey). Vince is one of our store's best-selling brands. And when we heard the rep talk, she said they take care to think about how each new line that comes out will mix and coordinate with older lines. I loved that!

I love Vince too but I have been disappointed with the quality of a couple of their cashmere sweaters - thin and quickly pilly. I pick and choose now, especially at the price level. But when they get it right, wow! And I love their aesthetic.

Leopardluxe for gawds sake what consignment stores are you going to that have Vince leather pants and cashmere? Will travel northward for discounts!

I love Vince conceptually but I often feel lost in the clothes. I don't know if it's literally the sizing (as with Eileen Fisher, where the XS is just too big for me) or if I'm just not comfortable with that much drape. I should be able to carry it off, as long as things aren't too long. Nordstrom Rack always has a lot of nice Vince things and I try them on but never decide they're keepers.

karymk one of the biggest ones with the best prices that I go to is Wasteland on 4th Ave in Santa Monica. Like any consignment store it's hit or miss but it's way more hit than miss. In addition to fab finds, I buy a lot of my basics there (LnA, Splendid, James Perse, Three Dots t-shirts, j brand jeans, etc.) and I always find cool designer stuff. Bought my J Brand bottle green leather pants there brand new with original $1000 tags still attached for $150). Their average price range for something like J Brand jeans are around $35-$40. It's not thrift store prices but it's waaaaaay below retail and a lot of times the stuff is either brand new or like new.

Not sure where in LA you are but it's worth the trip out that way because the place is huge and it's right in the heart of the Promenade area so there's lots of fun retail places to shop nearby and great places to have lunch. So it's easy to make a shopping day of it with friends.

Vince cashmere hoodies and sweaters show up on ebay. I got one 3 months ago for just under $40. It is cream colored and older styling, meaning a bit shorter and more fitted than current models. But it is incredibly well-made, luxuriously soft and works for some winter white dressing. I'm really happy with it.
