I have just found my wide leg / high waist pants!

Love the sales! I have just found with 70% off on massimo dutti a similar pair of these Chloé pants (in brown)!
They look great!
I get them to the tailor to hem, but I'm nervous because I always say I want the hem to cover the shoe and she always manage to cut it shorter.. Hope not this time!
I'm planning to style them like the Chloé photo:

Rute, every tailor I've ever used has apparently had the same problem. What I've been doing lately is letting them pin it where they want to (after a few rounds of "No, longer," "Are you sure?" "Yes, I'm sure") and then going back to the dressing room and moving the pins down. I have no idea why they always come out too short otherwise, but since I've been doing this, I've gotten inseams I'm happy with.

Fab pants, can't wait to see them!

I work out the hem myself in advance, then tell the seamstress the exact specifications (as inseam lengths). Or I pin them and tell her to hem as pinned.

However my seamstress once sewed mine 1/2 inch too short, that was asking for a European hem on jeans, I think she did the math wrong.

Rute, I cannot wait for the pictures! How wide are the hems?
I have also bought wide leg pants last week and they also in alterations now (hem, waist, also sew the pockets closed and add belt loops out of pocket lining :0)
As for the hem I asked not to cut it off so if it is the wrong length it can be changed.
I have attached the picture here. It is too bad I cannot wear them until all snow is gone - so for another 2 month!:-(

Lovely pants! I asked also to sew the pockets I'm not sure how wide.. did not measure, but it covers my shoe..

I must take some lessons in sales shopping - I have come to the conclusion (based on hard evidence) that sales are when I make mistakes

How much does this type of tailoring work usually cost? Hem, waist band darts, sewing pockets shut, those things. Don't tell anyone but I haven't had any of my clothes altered

I used to do big mistakes on sales shopping.. I tought.. oh.. not 100% but so cheap! Now I only buy what it's 100% perfect!

Here in Portugal this tailor work costs about 5€ (hems and sew the pockets). Outside the sales season many stores offer this service for free!
