I hate my feet!

Well not really, but right now I'm cursing my high instep. Thanks Mom!

Pointy toe! Pony hair! So much coolness! They were having a very brief sale and I got them for $200 off.
........
But I can not get them on my feet. There is no zipper or elastic at the ankle.
Argh!

They are very cool looking boots........ I hate my feet too, very limited as to what I can wear so I feel your frustration

I can really sympathize. I hate my feet, too. I have a high instep, plus they are wide. They are politely referred to as high volume, but a salesman at Jock and Jill called them troll feet.

To make matters worse, I have arthritis in my right big toe joint, and can't wear any heel...an inch and half is about my limit.

My feeling is, "I hate boots that don't have any zipper!"
The boots should be made to work for all sorts of feet.

I feel for you. I have high arches and now with exostosis on the top of my foot is even more troublesome.
I tried the Report booties when everyone was getting them and I had to fight to get them on, funny thing is the opening wasn't that small and once they were on my skinny ankle was swimming. I seldom get away without a zipper. Sometimes I can with the help of wearing a really thin sock to make my feet slide better.

Wow--those are so beautiful and so you. I empathize. High arches and no zipper equals problem. Last year trying on an ill-advised 6pm purchase, I had 1 Lucky Brand Maidie boot half stuck on my foot for 2 hours and was late for school pick up. Ughhhhh!

More sympathy - I have high insteps too. The only non zipper booties I've ever found are my silver ones - they are very soft leather & have elastic at the side.

I have a couple of pairs of boots and booties (Frye are notorious for this) that require some serious strength to put them on and take them off, particularly my left foot, which is slightly larger than the right, and I busted a bone in the top of that foot a few years ago, which seems to have aggravated the size difference. And my feet are relatively "low volume." I wish shoe makers would add a zipper or some elastic to some of these boots.

That said, I realize more and more reading this forum how lucky I am that shoes are a relatively easy fit for me. I sympathize with all the agony of the feet!

My friend and I, who wear close to the same sizes in shoes, tried on the same pair of boots. These *had* a zipper. Nevertheless, I had to sit down and struggle five or six times in order to finally get my foot in them. After that, they fit fine and fit my calf fine. She slipped her foot into them first time, no problem, but then couldn't zip them up around her calf. I knew I wouldn't buy them because the picture of all that struggling would prevent me every wanting to wear them but I was still shocked at how I almost couldn't get my foot into them even with a zipper all the way open.

Dumb question but have you tried using a shoe horn. I have small fit with high arch and I have one pair of boots that I can only get on (they do fit properly) with a my trusty shoe horn.

Well I guess misery does love company because I can totally commiserate with your foot woes. While I'm awaiting forefoot surgery I am sitting with my nose pressed against the pretty shoe store window.
