I got Frye Harness boots!

I love them!
They add a bit of an edge to my cold weather wardrobe. I decided to get the 8R length instead of the 12R because I read the reviews and it seemed like the longer length were heavier and I wanted to wear them underneath bootcuts mostly anyway.

Well, now that I got them I love them so much that I wanted to try them tucked in (to show them off!). So, I wanted to ask you guys about these outfits that I think might work with them. Do they work? I know ankle length boots are a trickier length so I need your opinion, especially because I don't know if I should be wearing shorter tops with my curvier thighs.

Also, what do you think of the scrunchiness of the pants around the boots? These jeans are the skinniest I have.

Finally, I would love some feedback on the fit of the coat. It is a double breasted style and should fit a bit squarish. It is very comfy and I can layer it over everything so far.

You are so lucky, you are very feminine and this edgey boot is very, very good on you. I love the length of the boot, absolutely. I love the color also. It looks more brown than black.
What you have paired the boots with looks perfect to me.
I also love your new coat. What a beautiful color. You look good in everything.

I really like the boots and the coat! I think the boots look great tucked in with the sweater tunic but the shorter tops I feel less sure about. I think it looks good but I can't help but feel that a bit taller boot would look even better. Having said that, I love all of the outfits you've put together.

I love the boots!! I think they look great tucked in and I have no problem with the shorter top. You look very feminine to me , it shows off your curves. I am all for showing off the ruggedness of those boots. The coat is also beautiful on you. Everything works for me!!

Love your boots, they look great. I like them especailly with the first outfit and with the sweater dress (that one's my favorite). The jeans are snug enough. And I like your coat!

We have the same sweater dress - you look great in it! That coat is a keeper for sure. The color is fab! I like the boots too but if you are unsure, you could always order a pair of the taller boots and post some photos of the same outfits with those. I've seen two women wearing tall harness boots with skinnies in the past two days and they looked really, really great.

Everything looks fab on you! I really like the boots in the shorter length - it looks funky & hip. The coat seems to fit great and it doesn't look boxy at all. Wonderful color!

YES! Those look so great--I'm so excited! I really want the 12R Frye Harness Boots, and now I want them even more that I've seen how fabulous you look in your 8Rs. Is that the brown color or the black?

The golden moss Victoria blouse is so gorgeous on you! That's the color I really wanted, but I ended up ordering the cream (it's a safer bet for me). The cream blazer/blouse combo is so pretty, and the sweater dress is super cute.

You have a really good handle on what you look good in and fit and proportion. I don't think the jacket is boxy at all. What a great color!

Laura, we are sweater dress twins! I love this dress...it is not clingy at all and is soft, not itchy at all.

Ana, now I want the 12R Harness belted ones too but in black. These ones are brown. I wore them all day today and they did not hurt my feet. After breaking in the leather in the front I can even say they were comfy (8 hour shoes or more I think). One thing for sure, whatever your size is make sure you get a half size down on these. They run big. I normally wear a 6 1/2 M (few times a 7), and I ordered a size 6 on these and they fit perfect. They have narrow toes though...so if you have wide feet order your normal size. I can't wait to see you in yours!

Yes, with your black hair, tall black harness boots would be amazing on you! The woman I saw today had really yellowish-gold colored tall ones (like the color of chamois, if that makes any sense). I don't know if they were Frye. No buckle. Anyway she had long blonde hair and looked striking in them.
