I Found My New Travel Outfit - YouLookFab Forum

Hello.

I've been wanting to replace the travel outfit from this post with a non black version for a while.

The replacement had a lot of boxes to check:

Navy blue in color
A topper that can layer over a tee shirt
Casual and comfortable
Not to heavy in weight of material (ie not fleece)
Soft but still have shape to the material
Pair well with fashion sneakers (ie not athletic running sneakers)

I saw the online stock photo (#1) and the entire outfit is perfect (#2 and #3).

I really like it! I like the matchy suit look, but juxtaposing with the, dare I say, Athleisure look. Or maybe there is a better name for it. Anyway, I’ve done a mix & match version with types of “sweatpants” plus a knit blazer. And some without elastic ankles, which helps a lot to look more polished, as yours do.

But have been on lookout for some more matchy pieces. Other elements I am trying to find are flat fronts and/ or inner drawstring. Flat fronts are available, but hard to fit both waist & hip to pull on! Hanging on to an ON jogger with inner drawstring, and Uniqlo had a wide- leg last year with that.
Plus I want zipper pockets for security!

unfrumped - An athleisure suit is a great description for why this travel outfit works for me. I prefer to be slightly more polished than the joggers and sweatpants I always see with drawstring waists that are on the outside (it is so rare to find inner waist drawstrings) and ribbed ankle cuffs. It's taken a while to find a matching casual yet pulled together athleisure look for travel.

Firecracker (Sharan) - I like all of your suggestions, thanks for sharing! I could see the Liverpool blazer working well with these Caslon pants for work trips when I need a fast change. The brown bag is going to be a great travel option, a main reason I purchased it is for an upcoming trip to Europe where I know I'll need a larger bag than my daily one's but the Tumi blue tote is a little too large to use for all day walking and sightseeing.

Destri - The original length was a regular inseam at 31". The version in the photos is after I got them shortened because I am only 5'3" and the regular inseam was too long for me. I hope that's helpful!
