I Fell In Love With a Bag

...but it didn't love me back. I saw this gorgeous Valentino bag at Nordstrom. The photo doesn't do it justice but it's really a nice size bag. The price on the other hand was NOT so nice.

Yeah. I couldn't justify buying a bag for $700+. That's above my pay grade and more than my car payment.

Funny!!! Hasn't that happened to us all? You made the right decision. If i could afford a $700 dollar bag, I'd rather spend that much on a few really, really nice pieces.

Naz, did you ever hear of the website bagborroworsteal.com? It seems silly (they rent out luxe handbags), but if you think about it, it is not a totally ludicrous concept for women who want to make an impression at an event, or fall in love with bags but then get tired of them, or simply can't afford to own one their heart is set on. I am not going there, but I thought it was an interesting concept. BTW, here is a super-luxe (and now that I reexamine it, not very ergonomic-looking) handbag I fell in love with that I would have had to sell my firstborn/only-born to own (but which I will never forget):

Was it on sale? I thought Valentinos were much more expensive. At that price range, you have to love it for now and forever.

I feel your pain! I see lots of pretty bags in the background, too. I could never spend that much on a bag, but if hubby wanted to buy it for me that would be a different story. Problem is he's only willing to spend big bucks if it's for jewelry (which I'm really not that into). I need to retrain him to direct those funds toward bags : )

Ohhh...that is so beautiful. I'm not much a bow type of person but that bag looks so nice. Valentino makes such feminine bags (flowers, ruffles, lace, bows, etc) but I like this the best.

I'm not into bows either but this just stood out from the rest of the bags that looked all a like.

ModGrl - there were other bags but every time I picked the one I liked, it was above my price range. They had a black Coach bag on sale but I have too many black bags.
