Do you think I'm making a mistake buying them? (At a fraction of the full listing price!) Are they too edgy?

I'm thinking of little black dress and opera... Or a brunch with a black leather jacket, white t-shirt and jeans... It is enough for San Diego winters.

Angie: 5-inch heels go in my closet often, but they definitely see the light of day once in a while.

Too edgy? No way! Those are gorgeous, and I can definitely see you in them, LOP. If the heel was a bit lower and thicker I'd be all over those, too

They're beautiful but it depends what style you're going for. Clearly, if you're going for words like "edgy" and "urban" they're more on cue than if you're aiming to look "sporty" and "casual."

They are not too edgy. They are perfect, gorgeous, amazing and I hope you post a picture wearing them when you get them.

I do have a couple of questions about price. You mentioned that you would get them for a fraction of the price? Are you going to use http://www.shoesvogue.com/productsNew.php or some such site? Have you bought Louboutins from them before? It just seems to good to be true, so I am curious.

I would be cautious too...lots of knock off's...but they look great:) I have CLouboutins Lastic bootie...I am a seasoned high heel wearer and they are only about a 4 hr. shoe. The arch and heel are VERY high:) ... Post photo's if you get them!!

LOP, if you missed out on them, Nordie's has a knock-off pair - very very similar! Check the catalog and you'll see them throughout in many of the photos. I saw them in person at my NAS appt, but they were too high for me. SOOOOO cute though!!!

Sigh! I went to Neiman Marcus and they don't have it anymore. I'll look around if I can find a similar pair that is not fake. A shoe boot is on my list for fall.

Shiny: Looks like I have to go with the knock-off from Nordie's. I really like them and the link I found yesterday at my size seemed to disappear from ebay.

After5: All the $150 Louboutin sites are for knock-offs I think. They have a very similar broken English and the sales email. They also only accept PayPal which is a bad sign.
