I do like Rag and Bone Now I find out so did Gossip Girl. I am annoyed; I know I can't control what other people think, but I'd really prefer people not judge me as a media lemming by my labels when I picked them MYSELF.

Huh, I did not know this, either. Still like my R&B jeans, despite it.

I think television is not the universally-shared experience it once was. There are soooo many shows; no one can watch all of them, even if one tried. It doesn't seem like anyone should assume you watch Gossip Girl... especially since your style is so YOU.

I tried to watch Gossip Girl, but I don't have that much time and hubby hates that sort of stuff. Maybe I can start dressing like Jesse from Breaking Bad.

All the "It Girl" bloggers have been wearing a lot of R&B for a few years now (and Acne, too).

I wouldn't let it bother you, IK, the R&B price point will prevent it from ever becoming the GAP.

And besides, if you like something, you like something, it shouldn't matter what others like and don't like (I remember your Eileen Fisher comments on a thread here not too long ago). My dear departed dad used to say "if YOU like the wine, it's a good wine. Period.," when it came to wine snobbery, and I have applied that logic to many subjective things over the years.

I laughed at your Jesse comment. Speaking of Breaking Bad why was Skyler so sexy when she was pregnant (all that cleavage in wrap dresses) and so not ever since?
