It started off so innocently--a J. Crew return and a Nordstrom return. I'm not on SYC but I didn't intend to purchase a new spring wardrobe. And yet somehow...
The Nordstrom Individualist department is what started my downfall. I gravitated towards the one anemic sales rack (I almost NEVER buy full price items) in search of a non-black/navy blazer and then next thing I knew, I was trying on (and LOVING) all sorts of new spring items. I'm waiting until Wednesday to pick up so that I can earn triple points but here's what I ended up with. Will post pics once I can get them home and styled:
Theory dress--Angie, you'd approve. This looks pretty uninteresting on the hanger but drapes like a DREAM on. It struck me as timeless and classic and I know I'll enjoy wearing it to the office but also to dressy weekend events.

Kate Spade dress. This looks yellow but is really a true lime green. I'm not sure how practical it is--I can really only justify keeping it if it will work for both office and play. I have to try styling it at home but am hoping I can wear it to work with tights (in colder weather) and a black cardigan. Fits beautifully on.

Theory blouse. The one I got is navy and long sleeved but the front resembles this one in drape. I see it with grey and camel pants and skirts.

Equipment blouse in bright poppy (color not pictured). I've been eying these blouses for some time and loved the poppy color so much, I had to scoop it up!

But then I didn't stop there. A stop in my local Kate Spade shop ended up in them calling around and finding me the red pants I've been lusting after for months--I should have them next week).

And I HAD to go through Bloomingdales to get to my car and ended up with this Tory Burch faux wrap dress. Of everything I tried, it's the item I'm not sure of. Style-wise, it's great (albeit a complete and total rip off of the Issa magic wrap dress), but I worry that I may tire of the pattern in a season and it's way too pricey for that.

Input and styling suggestions greatly appreciated! As would be a one-on-one session with Suze Orman about fiscal responsibility.
