I entered the danger zone today and stopped in my favorite local boutique after a meeting. I didn’t really have expectations but with this hot weather, I just wanted to get a little taste of upcoming fall/winter style.

Well, I walked in and this jacket by Zadig & Voltaire (pics 1-2) was dead in front of me. Of course I had to try it. The last one left, and it fit me. I fell in love. I bought it.

I also tried this lovely L’Agence skirt (pic 3) on the urging of the SA (they are getting to know me well there). It’s listed as a maxi but it’s really a midi on me. I balked at “bias cut” but this one does not cling around the thighs like many bias cuts do. It feels marvelous and looks great. It’s light and floaty, yet will pair beautifully with sweater and boots for winter. Dresses up or down. I tried it on with this graphic tee (pic 4) and almost bought the tee too, but I have a LOT of graphic tees.

I have a gallery opening tomorrow and will likely wear the skirt — with what, I’m not sure yet! It’s too warm for the blazer (still in the 90s with real feel over 100 tomorrow), otherwise I’d wear that too!

And now, I am done for fall/winter! Remind me of that if I get tempted! We had a little windfall with the sale of the ranch, so this is my treat to me.
