Count me in on this outfit formula! My eyes are steel blue (not green) but I just love this color combo. Here are some examples:

  • The outfit I posted a few weeks ago; olive jeans, black moto jacket, olive print scarf, black loafers, black cross body. https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....for-autumn
  • Another outfit worn recently; Olive Camo pants, cream merino
pullover, black/white ecco sneakers. Later that day did outdoor dining – added cream vest and a super-old black JNY blazer that I hardly ever wear but can’t part with because it’s such a classic piece that fits so well.
  • Play-in-the-closet outfit based on Angie’s #1 and #4: Olive
chunky sweater (purchased in Ireland in 2007), black jeans, white shirt, black lug sole booties. Could replace shirt with a white turtleneck for deep winter. The sweater is rough and scratchy so the underlayer is needed.
  • Play-in-the-closet outfit, a “winterized” version of Angie’s #2: Olive utility jacket, black skirt + sweater, textured/patterned tights, black suede booties. I’d need a coat over this (and all the other ones) for my climate, so would add my black lined trench or black knee length overcoat. I really like the non-shiny gold buckles on the boots and similar hardware on the jacket

I could keep going ….. LOL.

In finds I’ve shown the outfit pieces plus at the end all the other cold weather olive pieces I have. Not going to show all my black wardrobe items – would take too long! There is an interesting lesson here about how adding a relatively small number of items in a new color can lead to a lot of new outfits, if it goes well with colors already prevalent in your wardrobe. A lesson I'm sure Angie has mentioned on numerous occasions. Duh, finally it sinks in. (aka "light dawns on Marblehead").

Shopping list of pieces I’d love to add: b/w striped sweater, a patterned olive sweater or top, black above-knee wool coat (to replace the one I had to pass on last year), one or two more cream pieces, an olive complement of bag and shoes (although that ones does not interest me much) .

All comments and suggestions welcome as always!
