First, congratulations for taking on an ambitious, challenging new business! I wish you much luck with your new venture.
I suggest you budget! I don’t exactly mean budgeting money, so maybe a better word may be edit. Become very picky. Not everything is going to be your 100%. I know this is the case. I have a medium large wardrobe. Everything in my wardrobe is very nice, but if I had to narrow it down even further, to the items that are the most flattering, and my favorite because they best represent my sense of style, only 20 or 30 garments would make the cut for each of my seasonal groups. Purchase only the items that would become these items in your wardrobe, or items that if added to your wardrobe, are nicer looking on you, better, and or significantly different than anything else you already own. How many tunic blouses do you own? Sure this looks nice, but is this really the very best tunic you have ever seen and worn?
I have a set of questions that I ask myself before I make a purchase that helps me think carefully about whether a given item will be a treasured addition or a closet orphan. I also am working to prevent closet bloat, so I am sticking to a financial limit for my wardrobe, and a one in one out policy. Perhaps you can design some questions tailored to your needs. I suspect the questions that would be helpful for any person would be unique. I know I have asked about the types of questions people ask themselves before making purchases in one of my previous threads. I don’t have time to hunt for it now, but if I have time after work I will add the link.
