so for months now, i've been stalking the same dress on the anthropologie web site. i've been willing the price to drop. i've been looking for sort-of-the-same-but-cheaper knockoff versions at all my usual bargain-hunting haunts. i've been willing my obsession to go away. BUT NO. IT WAS NOT TO BE.

this dress has been on the sale page for weeks, but was still at a price i'd normally balk at paying. i've put it in my cart countless times, then clicked 'x' to close the window. but this morning... i did it. I BOUGHT IT.

now, my resolution to watch my shopping has gone down pretty well, and it's been a long time since i've done any shopping outside of thrift stores, so i've got a pretty healthy bank balance. i figure this is a treat to myself for months of self-denial and general sensible-ness - but it still feels strange to spend so much on myself!
