I can't take it anymore! Any Texas gals want to meet?

I'm envious of all the YLF meet-ups going on everywhere that my jealousy has brought me out of my silence....I live in Austin, TX.

So now that I've let the cat out of the bag...DebbieK, Sarah, Patience, Ana and any others I don't know about...let's MEET! I know you've all have met each other already and I'll be the new buttinski and I'm nervous about seeing all you super chic gals in real life, but I'm taking the plunge anyways.

So what do you say? Let's get a roll call going and show our YLF Texas spirit!

I have always wondered where you live. I had decided maybe it was the midwest... never would have guessed Austin. I hope you all can meet up soon!

I was curious about where you live too, AJ! I had thought southern California for some reason.

I grew up in northern CA and of course spent a year in LA as you know. Luv CA, but it was just too expensive for hubby and I to commit to.

I thiink I originally pictured you as a Bay area gal... don't know why but then I think your weather is what made me think maybe midwest. Plus, I thought you were "isolated" from other YLFers so I never would have picked Texas.

DebbieK, would you be able to come to Austin or should we try to meet halfway...at the San Marcos outlets perhaps? Oohhh, there's a hotel right across the street from the outlets. We could make it a shopping weekend extravaganza! Although if we do that, I need some time to recover from my recent spending. : )

Well, if we don't incorporate shopping and just meet for a snack/meal/dessert then I'm up for meeting soon.

If we want to add shopping then September? October?

Or we can plan both meetings...a now and later sort of deal. : )

Just let me know what you want to do. I will be out of town the first week on Sept but other than that it should be find. I can come to Austin or meet half way.
Staying over night is probably not an option for me because of my grandson.

Debbie, how old is your grandson? I have 11 yr. and 9 yr. boys and a 6 yr girl. I know Patience has a little one as well. I'm open to making a non-shopping meeting kid friendly.

He's six but I'm going to leave him at home. I just can't leave him overnight. A little shopping in Austin would be fun.

The YLF Texas crowd is fab. I have met Debbie, Sarah and Ana when they swung through Seattle. Very grand ladies.

I'm up for anything! For some reason, I thought Debbie lived in the Northwest. We are getting ready to go on vacation. School starts soon, but you know that, AJ. I actually have three little ones so I actually have not gotten to see much of Sarah and Ana this summer at all between kid schedules and Ana's busy school schedule. Maybe sometime in the middle of August would work or else Sept.

I love Barton Creek Mall if that is good for everyone else haven't been in years though. I cannot do it between Aug 28 and Sept 6th as I will be gone. This sounds like so much fun.
Patience I think there is another Debbie that does live in the midwest.

Oohhh, I'd also luv to go down 2nd street to all the independent designers. Has anyone checked these stores out yet? I've been too intimidated to go alone.

That should work for me. Either location (Barton or Domain) should be fine. My time on Saturdays are limited though, so I can probably only do either or.
Barton has Nordstrom, the Domain does not yet. But the Domain has Zara, Charming Charlies, Anthropologie, Luxe Apothatique. Otherwise the stores are the same, it's just a different environment.

I always wondered where you were AJ. For some reason, I thought your kids were smaller (pre-school age). Your oldest is the same age as my youngest.
Anyway- I wish I were closer and could come (I say that on every meet up thread LOL). Have a FAB gathering!
