I've had this happen to me a lot - with all kinds of garments! In fact, when I find something I love, I usually take two or three of the same size into the dressing room, just in case. PPO - patience pays off!
wow. The style God had a plan. Your perseverance and hard work has paid off!!
You found it! PPP totally paid off for you!

good things come to those who wait, and persist. :).
Shannon, I just knew you would find The Jacket this weekend! It looks perfect.
Serendipity? Did I even spell that right? lol. This looks FAB Shannon and I think you made the right choice to get the alterations right away. It should be right from the first day you wear it.
Well, that was quick! Yay!
PPP pays off!
LOVE this jacket!

MUST have sleeves altered. Does not look fab with rolled up sleeves.

WILL be KILLER after alteration
Not to worry Angie - it's already back at Danier and marked for their tailor. Should get it back in 2-3 weeks. I can wait for my K-ratig - lol!
What a happy ending! I wondered yesterday if you would find the one after giving up on the search.
What a great story of PPP!
Love the jacket and it's just what you wanted
A quick run through the alterations and a perfect ending to the jacket saga story....
Love the new version of THE white jacket on you - it looks great!!!
What a delightful story with a perfect ending! And what fabulous outfits you have already put together with your new jacket - I can't wait for you to get it back!
So glad you found it and so odd that you need to wait for the "2nd run" in order to purchase the same item in the proper proportions. Imagine those who don't know this might just pass. Can't wait to see it returned to you in its perfect for you status.
Yea!!!!! You inspire me in my search for a cropped white denim jacket.
The difference in the size and fit is SO clear. It makes a person wonder if it would ever be safe to order from Danier without trying something on first! Regardless, I know how long you have been looking for this jacket, and I am so glad you finally found it. With the sleeves altered, it will be absolutely perfect!
Yay! What a great story and happy ending! Can't wait to see the altered jacket. This is going to be a star piece for you!
It looks beautiful! Get it altered now and ask them if they can put a rush on it!
Yay, we are jacket twins

I took mine back to alter the sleeves because I felt that with this length, even if I folded it the sleeves wouldn't drape that well along the arm. Also if I would wear it like it was the leather would probably molded itself to fit me in a way that probably would be noticeable after the alteration.
Although I stand by my choice I envision that the number of times I will wear this jacket this spring will be very limited.
Thank you all so much for the jacket love! It is going to be soooooo hard to wait for it to get back from alterations but I know I'm going to be even that much more pleased when it's done.

Celia - why do you think your wearing of the jacket will be limited?
I had a feeling that once you made the tough decision to forget it, that something like this would happen, and one would fall into your lap! Mind you, I didn't expect it to happen so quickly!!

Good choice to get the sleeves done, they really do look too long.

Now this one IS a 10, well done you for waiting for PPP.
Good question Shanon. Probably because I see this as an outwear jacket for my lifestyle, maybe I am just afraid that the right temperature to wear it ( our so called spring) will be limited to a couple of weeks, maybe my cristal ball is wrong and I will wear it a lot.
I do want to wear it and have several outfits(one of them proposed by Suz)that I want to try.(wouldn't it be great with the Maggie London dress Angie recommended?)

You know Celia, I wondered for a while if a white leather jacket would be versatile enough - would I wear it enough to warrant the expense and the closet real estate. But even just playing with it a bit today, I know it will work with so much more than I had originally anticipated. For me, I will be wearing it as a blazer to work but also as a lighter jacket over tees and jeans for casual.

it would indeed look amazing over that Maggy London dress. Have you played around much with it and your closet before taking it for alterations?
Yes I did, I am just like a kid who gets a new toy when I have something new in my closet, I give it extra room and all.
This will go great with my turquoise, red and black items very nicely and at least one dress that has some white in it's pattern. Ideas I have guess I will have to create the opportunities to wear them
Well you looked absolutely fabulous in "our" jacket Celia - so wear it often
Thank you, can't wait to see the fab ways you will wear yours.
Shannon, a heartfelt 'yippee" from me. This jacket looks gorgeous. There is not question it works well proportionately over pants but also over your dresses. The only combo here that doesn't work quite as well to my eye is over the lace dress. I realise that the outfits you have styled here (dress wise) with white in them seem to work best to my eye.

I am really very excited for you. It was definitely worth the wait. The fit looks perfect and I love the length and shape from the back view also.
I love it with the white jeans, especially. How lucky it worked out for you!
Glad your patience and perseverence on finding the PERFECT jacket payed off! Good job, Shannon!
Shannon, you deserve this, you deserve it SO MUCH I'm thrilled for you! The jacket is perfect. The styling with yellow and white is stellar, but all are fab. Now I think I need to come to Canada to find a leather jacket and a great bag - at Danier, no less. You should get commision
