Somehow yesterday my car mysteriously led me to Nordstrom, and I decided to not only check out bargains at the Rack (I needed some new warm weather pj's), but see if I could find some new shorts, since nearly all of my capris and shorts from years past are now baggy and/or dated.
I scored two pairs of basic Caslon shorts, in beige and olive, and saw the Hinge blouse and decided to try bit on. The medium was okay but felt like too much fabric to me. I was ready to give up, because there were no smalls in stock, but decided to try on the XS, and oddly enough, it worked. I'm 5'7" and a size 8 so this was pretty surprising to me, but I think it works because it's a generously cut top so it fit across my bust fine. Also, my torso is pretty short, sleeve length on this shirt is not an issue, and it's cut with a wide shoulder seam, so the XS fits with the seam right at then end of my shoulder, so it doesn't look skimpy.
I tried styling it a couple of different ways but liked it best worn open, almost like a jacket, with a light lime green tank underneath that picks up the green in the print.
I know Lisa got one of these shirts -- anybody else? How are you liking it?
