I've had my fingers crossed for you to keep this jacket, Una, since you first posted the picture. When you find that piece that perfectly reflects the statement you want to make to the world, you don't let it get away. I was getting ready for a trip to Alaska to rip the tags off for you! (And I'm such a nice little old lady you'd feel bad about having to push me away, especially if I had scissors in my hand...)

Good for you! You knew right from the start that it was a special piece and I'm glad that you decided to keep it. Sometimes things don't always photograph as well as they might, and black is always tricky. I made a point of really looking at the Burberry coats in a store near me. They didn't have the exact one you purchased, but those that were similar had great fabric and finishing. You could really see and feel the quality. I bet you'll wear it to death!

Since all the coat discussion, I've seen a couple other coats with that waistline zipper! I don't know if they're all functional zips, but the look IS in - probably with Burberry being one of the trendsetters
