I am cringing, but have to ask...can I ever wear a beaded skirt?

Please laugh with me AND at me on this one! I'm afraid I have always wanted to wear this but never have. It appeals to my inner sparkle princess girl. Please feel free to give me a verbal "slap out of it girl".
I would likely pair it with these shoes and a white t or white button down. And I would be in public, in a town where sparkles are usually for prom only.

I think paired with white it is great.

I, too, have an inner sparkle princess girl that I have never unleashed even to the point of buying such a skirt. You wear it for me and give me courage, okay? And maybe I'll follow.

I really like it! (I also have a little bit of an "inner sparkle princess" girl ) I also like it paired w/ the white t-shirt, I think it needs something like that to dress it down a little for daytime wear.

Love it, particularly with the simple white T. I'd try a little bolder shoe, perhaps, although the shoes you're wearing work. It sounds like you're a little nervous about dressing out of the "environmental norm" in your town. I get that since I'm a more "dress up" girl myself. Who knows? Maybe there are more princesses in your circle just waiting for someone to give them permission to sparkle!

White t-shirt is the winner here! Yes,, can also see it with a white button down. Or a denim/chambray button shirt - like Una's sequin skirt post that Suz linked. . .

Wear it for me, please, and let me know how it goes. If more of you do this, I might girl-up and try it too

Love it, but I would keep it for evening, though. No, hold on, - if you want to wear it during the day go for it. Sparkle on princess!

I wear mine all the time...dress down with denim shirt or tee as Sara suggests or dress up for evening with cashmere or silk...LOVE it")

This is a great skirt! There is no way around though that it is very dressy. I would probably save it for dinner time/parties. I think I might prefer a white button-down to the tee, because the high-low is too much for me, but that could be my lack of imagination

I love it! I would wear it out to dinner with a white t, as you have styled it in the first photo, or a graphic t - maybe a white t with a black or black + color design. I second the advice about a button down white or denim shirt and a bolder shoe, as well.

I love dressy items paired with more casual ones - like a well worn pair of jeans and a fancy blouse. This reminds me of when Sharon Stone wore a Valentino skirt to the Oscars with a gap t-shirt.

Uh, hello...no cringing anywhere. This looks great on you. I'd love to see it with a denim blouse, sleeves scrunched, sassy (chunky) sandals and nothing but attitude. Go make that town sparkle and shine.
