It is currently 35F here in North Central Texas, but when the wind is factored in we have a "feels like" (windchill?) of 26F.
Now, I know that it's not really COLD in the grand scheme of things, when there are parts of the US and Canada that see -40 (which is minus forty on both temperature scales), and that is just brutal.
However, I grew up in the American south and 100+ degree Fahrenheit is not unusual, and 100 is actually where I start wearing shorts (if I wear them before it reaches 100, then they don't help me feel any cooler once it does so it's really just a mental game I try to play in summer). And our 100+ days can start as early as April and go as late as September.
I am not acclimated to air that feels like 26F and I am a meat popsicle and I would cry but I don't want my tears to freeze on my face!
OK, rant over. Thank you for listening to me whine like a wuss.
p.s. it is totally ok to laugh at me if you're up north and think I'm a total wimp
