I couldn't agree more about the Nordies love and, in fact, just told my husband that I am going to try very hard to not shop anywhere else if I can help it. My renewed love comes from 2 very different encounters:
1.) I bought two pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes from Bloomie's. It was an impulse buy and I decided to return both--one was a pair of wedges that just felt too small and the other were booties that my husband HATED. At Bloomie's, Jimmy Choo runs a separate boutique (but in the store) and the return time was much shorter. I went in during the appointed 14 day window and received awful, horrible, rude service. The two sales people spent no less than 10 minutes inspecting every millimeter of each shoe, as if I was trying to pull a fast one on them. They then told me my receipt wasn't working because it was stamped "duplicate" (it was the only one I received) and spent another 10 minutes trying to find me in their system, to no avail. There was never a smile or apology or anything. I finally just asked them to refund me and figure it out and their end later, which they reluctantly did. I was so peeved, I sent in a customer service complaint via the Bloomie's website--they will NOT be getting my business in the future.

2.) I returned an expensive coat to Nordies and, while doing so, mentioned that 2 of the dresses I had purchased at the same time as the coat were DVF and had gone on sale on the DVF website as part of their Fall 30% off everything sale. The sales associate immediately price adjusted both dresses, even though I didn't have them with me, nor did he ask for any sort of verification of the DVF sale (which I could have provided via iphone)--my word alone was enough. Two of the many reasons I will make Nordstrom my primary shopping destination: they never make you feel badly about returns and their price adjustment policy is hard to beat.
