Hydrocotton towels seem different this NAS

I had a chance to go to the store and saw the hydrocotton towels, they seem thinner than before and are not promoted as made by “The White Company”. Maybe they are still good towels?
Please share your experience if you have used the new towels, the old ones are excellent and were recommended by Angie.

Ditto what Christina says: Oh, no! I am ready for new ones and was looking forward to checking them out in person to get a color that will work.

I actually bought towels from another place (The Company Store) and was so disappointed with them after using them for a short time that I got my older Nordies' hydrocotton ones back out, to serve us until NAS. I'm spoiled and no longer like towels that are not super lofty, soft, and absorbent.

That's disappointing. I've ordered some for my kiddo's dorm room and am curious to see what they are like (I haven't received them yet). I've always loved those towels. Thanks for the tip, Dottie.

@Christina, I agree with everything you said.
@Sharan, we will need a replacement for the good towel sets for sure. Sorry about your experience with the towels from The Company Store. Maybe I should run a bad towel brand post, so sad.
The new Whirlpool washer that I was able to return (thanks to Costco) chewed up all my towels except for the Norstrom ones that Angie recommended and the Hotel Collection. All the others lost their seams and also got chewed up in the center. Sadly, bad washers are a good test sometimes.
@Dottie, thank you for the link, that is a good work-around to try.
@Sarah, I hope your new towels work out. I may also order a set and try one towel and return the others if they don’t work out.

I haven’t bought any this year , but what I remember about prior years, before you wash them they don’t feel like anything special. The washing of them “activates” the magic

@kkards, thank you for the great info, washing before use is a must.
Maybe instead of the fabric softener sheets I will use the dryer balls, I hope that will keep towels in top condition.
The thing is that the previous towels felt thicker from the start. I will still order a set, to try the new ones out.

I ordered a few of these before NAS (a few months ago) so I'll assume the NAS one's are the same as those. If so, they have held up well so far. I do find that the first wash and dry before use makes a big difference. I adore their towels so hopefully these are the same as previous years!

I bought the towels--in person, because I had to check out the color--and they seem the same as always. I'm happy with them. Haven't washed them yet, but pre-washed, they seem the same as they have in the past.

@Sharan, the new ones seemed thinner to me, but maybe they
need to be compared to the previous towels after washing, so that the cotton fibers “ bloom”. I will do that with my new set and compare properly,
I hope your impression is right.
In any case, most colors are sold out at this time, glad that you were able to find a collor that works for you.
