At the time, Inge suggested a lovely lilac colored Saskia Trench Coat from Hobbs. I was nervous about ordering since I have never made a purchase from Hobbs and have no sense of how it will fit. However, I took the plunge, and I ordered the trench:

Bijou recently suggested a lilac trench, on sale at Kate Spade. They give 15% discounts to first time customers. I ordered this as well. Here is the link:

Even if one of these trenches works, they would be most suitable for my work day, and not for wearing over my more formal or casual maxi/midi dresses. I would still like a long, maxi length trench in a good color. I thought perhaps the sky blue Lela Rose trench would be "the one" but it looks more overwhelming than stylish when I wear it, and I find that vexing. I still plan to bring it to the tailor to see if any reasonable alterations can be made. However, I know my best bet is to keep looking. If anyone has any suggestions of any other brands or designers for me to look at, I would be appreciative!
