Hugo Boss Suit and 2 Skirts

I think I'm going to return everything shown here, with the possible exception of the pleated chiffon skirt. None of it makes me feel really great and I think my work wardrobe is now sufficiently sorted. I'd rather focus on my casual clothes.

HB jacket: too wide in the shoulders and back. Skirt looks too big in these photos, but feels right when worn so I don't think sizing down would help.

The chiffon skirt is very pretty and fun. I'm worried that it might become an orphan because I don't have exactly the right top to wear with it.

Denim skirt: I don't like the pockets over my hips. It doesn't feel as flattering as it could.

Agreeing with you here . I'm surprised a Boss suit doesn't have a vented back on both/either the skirt or the jacket . I love the chiffon skirt and think it would be great worn both casually and for more formal occasions . It fits you well ! I'm not a fan of the denim skirt , to be quite honest . Looks a little less than modern .

I agree with you on the others, but I think you should keep the chiffon pleated skirt! I think it would be perfect for a third or fourth date It's very flirty. You can even pair it with a tee tucked in.

I agree with your assessment Amy. Nothing here that you look really happy in, but I love the skirt face especially! I probably will take the Boss jacket back, because the fit is not spot on.

Yeah, Lisa, I'm surprised at the lack of a vent in the Hugo Boss Jacket. It's nicely constructed and the fabric is gorgeous...just not made for me, though

I agree with everyone else on the suit. The fit should be perfect for a suit like that. I do really like the chiffon skirt on you though. I hope that is a keeper!

Another vote for the chiffon skirt. Do you have a dressy capsule? I like how you've styled it with the lace top untucked.

Amy, the chiffon skirt is super fun for you. It fits right into your romantic side. And I love the ideas to casualize it with a tee, denim shirt or jacket, or even a leather jacket. So much fun.

What a shame about the fit of the Boss. But you got a great suit at a fraction of the price, so that was a win.

As for the denim skirt -- it wasn't for you. Love your silly face.

Bummer about the Boss suit (& bizarre there wasn't a vent-cutting costs?). The chiffon skirt is very pretty. It should be really fun to play with other items in your closet and I like what C1 says-save it for that 3rd or 4th date!

Agree on the suit. Your Classiques suit looks so dynamite on you; this one pales in comparison. I like the chiffon skirt on you, a lot. It could be a good item for work-to-cocktails, or for dress-up events and holiday parties. Or as Lisa says, you could dress it down, perhaps with a graphic tee, denim jacket, and boots. . . .
I think the denim skirt is cute the way you're wearing it. Your expression is a pretty funny indictment of it, though!

Thanks ladies. To be honest, I'm glad some of these things aren't working out. I've got to buy school clothes for the kids too, so my budget will be better off without the Hugo Boss suit

I'm another one who thinks the denim skirt actually looks really cute on you. As does the pleated skirt. Haha, and you thought posting here would help clarify your decisions!

I think the pockets are fine on the skirt -- I would sit test the front slit, though! I prefer a back or side slit, actually. Once, I had a 6 paneled skirt that had a slit directly over the left leg. Now that was a sexy date skirt.

The chiffon is lovely, as well, and seems very "you."
