Huggable Hangars?

I feel like everyone on the planet is using these but me! I am thinking about converting to these type of hangars since my closet is small and pretty tightly packed at this point. Does it matter which brand you buy? Are some superior to others? Does it really create space in your closet? I have seen them everywhere from Target to Marshalls and BB&B and am not sure which ones to get.

I have the original Huggable Hangers from HSN/ Joy Mangano. I've had them about 3+ years now and LOVE them. They make everything look more organized and I can fit my clothes into a smaller space (my boyfriend has 5x more clothes than I do and takes up all the room!).

Shana, I asked for these (essentially the same thing, better price) http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp......ne-Hangers for my birthday after I got tired of things slipping off my white plastic hangers.

I do love them. The QVC ones have a little hook in the front so you can cascade them off each other if you want, but they still fit together as snugly as if they didn't have that little protruding hook (each one has a little space in the back that the hook of the one next to it fits right into, if that makes sense.)

I was gifted with a bunch of the ones with the little hook and they drove me crazy because the hook was forever catching on clothing and other hangers as I tried to get a piece out of the closet. These are not for the impatient.

the difficulty i have with these is that the hangers are thin and wide. the shoulders of my tops and jackets are too narrow and the hangers wind up making marks on my sleeves.

i also tend to grab and pull so the clothes must slip of the hanger easily.

I have the ones from BB&B and I like them a lot (they do save a lot of space), but I've never tried any others so I'm can't help compare them!

I don't use these for my boyfriends clothes because he also needs to be able to grab & slide (one-handed). But I love them for myself. My tops are narrow at the top and they do not make any hanger marks at all.

I second the sentiment that you cannot "grab and pull" with these. I like that, actually, because when I used to do that with the plastic hangers, often the hanger would ricochet up and either fly off the rod (my closet has one rod that's way up high and I can just barely reach it) or knock something else down. I still use my padded satin hangers for cardigans.

I have the original ones from JM and HSN and I LOVE them! Never had a problem with them leaving a dent in clothing and they dont ever slide off the hangers...

Thanks everyone who responded. I wasn't sure if there was any significant differences among the different brands. I guess I'll just go with the most convenient.

LOL, April, this is exactly why I am trying to break myself of the grab & pull method! Too many flying hangars!
