I feel the need to squeeeee! I just scored a pair of second-hand but NEVER WORN vintage Fluevog Harlows that I have been lusting after ever since I came across a picture of them on the web. Here's a pic of a blogger wearing her black and white Harlows, to give you an idea (mine are brown -- even better!):

In case you're interested, the Fluevog website now has a feature called the "Fluemarket", where people can re-sell their used Fluevogs. I check it out from time to time. Last week, I saw a posting for the Harlows in my size, in a beautiful colourway that I didn't know existed (brown and tan) for sale by a gal not too far from where I live. So I sent her an email, and took a gamble and bought the shoes -- something I have never done before. I have never bought shoes second-hand, nor have I ever bought shoes off the web without trying them on. It is not in my nature to gamble, but they were a very reasonable price, and did I mention how very pretty? And rare? And in my size?

I got them yesterday. They fit like they were made for me, and are even more beautiful in real life. And the woman was not kidding -- they look literally brand new. You can see they have never been worn outside. I cannot wait for an excuse to wear them!

So take away message: if you're a Fluevog lover like me, check out the FlueMarket:
