Sorry to raise *this* question, but I am struggling with whether or not to keep these jeans. A bit of background: I have been searching for more than a year for a pair of bootcut jeans that flatter me (fit my thighs, rise not too high, etc.) I found these and they are very flattering...my question is, am I too old to wear this pocket style? The jeans are kind of tone on tone. Dark wash blue with dark blue thread. The rivets are silver, so it's a little more subtle than yellow thread and gold rivets.
I know the "experts" say that after a certain age (I am 47) you should avoid pocket detail on jeans because it emphasizes your bottom. I find the opposite with these jeans. That the pockets draw attention away from my bottom. I have been trying to get a good pic of me in them, but haven't had success so I am using a stock photo.
Can anyone tell me if am I too old for the style. I'd like to be able to wear them for causal Fridays, usually I pair my jeans with a blazer for work. But I don't want to look silly.
ETA pictures added! DH says to keep and that they are fine for work. Having him take that rear view picture was a bit distressing. But it's nice to see what they look like from behind.
