I have a humanities conference tomorrow, and usually, I prefer to stick to a black top and black trousers. However, my wool trousers, which lack belt loops, are a little too big. I was thinking about wearing this outfit because it's conservative but memorable. I don't want to completely blend in, but I don't want to be too out there, either. What do you think? I could still wear the wool trousers (J Crew Paley pants) if this is too risqué.
