Though I just realized my title is going to maybe not really adjacent to my post, or err new inspiration. Something like that…
Anyways on the navel gazing post (but not really, because menopause body did what).
I’m trying to slowly emerge from isolation slug mode. I recently went on a trip to Singapore, then the main focus was a photo trip to Cambodia. I am trying to rekindle my creative side, it took nearly 10 of the 12 days of the photo trip for something to click (pun kinda there). I’ll try to post more about that later in Off Topic.
On the long ass flight to Singapore I ended up watching Cruella. I realize it’s more than a few years old, plus the last 5 years don’t count, right. I freaking loved the costuming, like seriously freaking awesome. So I’m trying to think of using it a stylist springboard (minus the garbage dress, it’s a bit impractical and a lot flammable). I need to get out of scrubs and sweats (even fancy sweats).
But the fashion world, as many will notice is bleak out there, and not in the pensive goth looking over moonlit crashing waves. Especially for plus size.
I’ve been giving away more of my clothes, even the beloved Isabel Marant navy blazer, which fits my friend perfectly. I need to dress for the body I have now (I hear Angie nodding in my head).
This will definitely be a work in progress. I recently discovered Dressed in LaLa

They have all sorts of overly dramatic, wildly clashing prints and color. And yeah that’s not Cruella, but uhh…dramatic, that’s it.
I brought a few of their pieces to on wear on my trip. Decided that I’m go full whackadoodle with my colored hair and crazy clothes. But the heat and humidity, well the dripping sauna look hasn’t hit the mainstream, yet. So now I’m back in much cooler climes.
Crap this was a lot. If you’ve read this far, thanks.
I’m going to try and post a bit more here.
Adding proof of life pics, with phone.
