How would you wear these shoes?

Ever since I saw these shoes in picture #1 I've been smitten with them. Not only are they a lovely shade of grey, but they look like they might be pretty comfortable. I don't what I would wear them with. My climate is either freezing cold or blazing hot. Do you think they would be practical?

Picture #2 are some shoes that I could wear in a slightly dressy situation. I'm considering them also.

I think those would be best bookended with some other gray item. If your hair isn't that lovely shade, than perhaps a topper or a blouse of some sort.

#1 is a transitional shoe for sure. It all depends on how cold the weather has to be before you switch to boots.

Staysfit, my hair IS that color, at least in front. That's why I keep collecting this color. Bookending with tops that color would be no problem.

Word Lily, my concern about what to wear them with is that my pants are kind of long for this heel height. When it's cold I usually wear boots that have 1-2 inch heel at least. I have a pair of pewter wingtips that I don't wear very often for that reason.

Angie, do you think these shoes should be worn without socks? That might answer my question... Although in the description it says there is shearling lining, so they might feel extra cozy.

That's the confusing thing - they are adorable, but they remind me (functionally) of a lot of the ubiquitous Merrell Jungle Mocs that everyone wears here in winter if just scuffing along from place to place. Those are worn with socks, but these seem too cute for that - they are more like oxfords and I see them with cuffed jeans and bare ankles. But is that seasonally confused? Do they have shearling inside?

Oh, my husband has several pairs of those, for lawn mowing, dog walking, that sort of thing. The description on these Ugg shoes mentions shearling but I can't see any, so I suppose it's the insole. I like your outfit description. I guess I'm attracted to the color which is hard to find. I have some ugg boots that are the same color. It's not overkill, is it?

I got their catalog in the mail yesterday. There were a lot of clothes in different shades of grey.

Oh I know what would go with #1, pajama jeans!

I would wear both of these without socks and rolled skinny or boyfriend jeans. For me, these would be worn in April, May and October. If you have milder Summers and your September cools down enough you could wear them then too.

I'm not sure how I'd wear the first pair, though I think they are cute.
I'd wear the t-straps as CocoLion said, with rolled jeans. Or rolled chinos. Also: peeking out from flared or bootcut jeans; with tights and skirts; with skinny pants.

Ok, I ordered both pairs of shoes! (plus some dressy low heels.). I ordered from Nordstrom, but on Zappos the info for the Uggs included this:

The sueded side of Twinface sheepskin is susceptible to staining and discoloration if worn in snow or rain.

So should I spray them with something? For those of you who spray your shoes, what do you use?

They'll look more fashionable without socks, but you could wear them with socks too.

These would look super great with a pair of boyfriend jeans! I personally would wear this with a pair of medium wash boyfriend jeans, a sweater or cardigan of some sort, and a fedora for a great borrowed from boys preppy look. For a great pair boyfriend jeans I usually shop bohme.com but the sweater and fedora can really be found anywear.

I love the T-straps! I would wear them with everything from shorts to jeans and dresses. The little heel makes them cute with both short and long lengths, to me. And I love a shoe like this with jeans, especially cropped or rolled. It's the boy/girl thing. Love it. (Equally cute with slim-fitting cropped trousers.)
