Found these cool LR booties online at the Rack, thinking I'd finally found my HEWI (white shoes), but I'm struggling with how to style a high shaft boot like these in an edgy way. I didn't like them with much with BF jeans or skinnies over the shaft, but thought I'd check in with my boot mavens for advice before giving up. Maybe I just can't deal with light shoe colors due to the high contrast choppy leg effect?

Love love love them!! I have similar in blue:) I also find the higher shaft booties a challenge but the best look for me has been tucking my skinny jeans into them. Often requires an unseen sock to keep in place but it works and l love the look.
I also like how it looks when the jeans are rolled to just above the top of the ankle of the boot with a peep of skin.

I also love them, Ann, and really like how you've styled them here (your silver top picks up the white in the booties nicely). Did you like them paired with white jeans (lower contrast)?
Deborah's suggestions sound good too.

They're not the same booties, but Angie has a few outfits with lizard print and snakeskin print booties that made me think of your new booties. She often wears them with relaxed fit skinnies/straight leg jeans (or trousers) tucked over the shaft, and I personally do love that look. Perhaps it's a matter of getting used to it on yourself?
I can also see them work under flares or wide-legged trousers.

I think they look pretty great just as you've shown them, and I thought the same thing as Inge about how well they go with your shirt. But I totally understand that they take a little getting used to. I've never been able to embrace white shoes on me for this reason (except sandals because they're so low-contrast with my legs). I think they're worth keeping if you can embrace the look.

Oh, I love these Ann! I think I prefer them with your pants rolled to the top of them, rather than covering, but this could be a practicality issue (is it cold?). It just looks more "cool" :). I also got white booties a year or so ago, and it DOES take some getting used to. But I like it when I see it on others, and rarely find it stumpifying on them, so I decided it's more of a ME issue than a style issue.

I'm the oddball who actually prefers them casually rolled up and above the top of the shaft of the boot the way you have in the one photo. I know there is a school of thought that suggests the pants should come down over the boot, but I've always though that looked a bit forced - plus one would have to keep pulling their pants down every time you rose from sitting, no? I don't know - I just like a looser, easier vibe . These look so cool on you - I think I could wear these.

Timely topic for me! I just bought some Zebra booties that I am having the same issues with. I agree the high contrast factor is tougher to style. I plan on wearing the Zebra booties with white cropped skinnies and black skinny pants. The white skinnies keep the leg line long and the black slim pants can be worn with a low contrast top. Slim pants also keep the leg line long. The choppy effect takes some getting used to but they are so fun that I am going to go a little out of my comfort zone and keep them.

I like the longer roll; the shorter where you see the top of the boot reminds me too much of galoshes. But then, I'm the old fuddy daddy who'd suggest wearing them sans roll at all - rolling is already leg shortening, and so is the light contrasting color of the booties. I'd just wear them with straight leg jeans worn over the boots and rock them.

I love booties of this shaft height. I prefer the roll in the bottom right right-side foot, and the bottom right left-side foot just needs a wider roll. I also like wearing this type of bootie with tights and a skirt.

I just put skinnies/narrow pants over the shaft. However I notice that my younger colleagues tuck them in. I like how you have them pictured.
