How would you describe this style?

When I stumbled upon

Margarita Argüelles, I knew I'd found my current style icon. Now I need to know how to translate her choices into actionable styling advice for myself.

How would you describe her style, dear Fabbers? Descriptors I have come up with include: relaxed, classic, luxe, structured slouch/slouchy structure, cool...others?

PS--While I wear more color than she does, her neutral palette is my ideal neutral capsule (a constant work-in-progress). Where does she get those great creamy-brown chain-link prints and silky blouses????

She has great style, there's definitely a relaxed, carefree, flowing vibe to her outfits. I can why she inspires you.

I find her outfits consist of classic pieces in relaxed cuts. So, I would call it contemporary classic style. Her garments have a structural integrity but fit is roomier than traditional classic style in step with times.

I like her style too, and now I want to grow my hair. I agree with Irina's assessment - and it definitely has a European look we don't see here very often. Different availability of clothes etc.

She has beautiful outfits. Yes, relaxed classic. Seems like the key elements are wovens that are a little roomy and flowy (not too stiff).

Agree with Lisa ... classic European elegance was what immediately came to mind ... There's a very "dressed" vibe but she seems totally at ease and not a bit precious about it.

I would label this "Earthy French." Classic prints, impeccable finishes, and an overall minimalist vibe that we (Americans anyway) associate with French style. But cuts are a bit more relaxed and flowy (part of this might be that her feed seems to emphasize warm weather looks?), and the earth-tone color palette is different from the usual French style -- so that's the Earthy bit.

Oh, how I wish I could tuck in shirts like her! It makes outfits look more polished.

I never thought of this particular style as Euro, hmmm. But she inspires me to unpack my silk scarves I have been off them for a while under impression they make me look ehhh, too classic?

I’d call it relaxed modern classic. It’s funny, her style looks kinda English & Italian to me at the same time... is that possible? Lol

Rachylou, I think she’s Spanish, so that makes an odd sort of sense.

Rachy, English x Italian = Spanish entirely! This is why two of the most classic Spanish brands are El Corte Ingles and Massimo Dutti

Oh how pretty! My silk scarves give me that DC vibe, not relaxed chic! Maybe I need a lesson in dressing them down. Scarf print blouses are on trend and you should be able to find them in stores. I bought a really pretty one from Elie Tahari. Or if you like vintage, you might look at old Escada. They had some amazing patterns.

Upscale relaxed-but-polished classic with a twist :)? She has a very cohesive color palette and mixes prints in with ease, and her accessories are very luxe, which gives her outfits a polish. I'm kind of fascinated by her beachy, embrace-the-deep-tan lifestyle!

Wow, just took a closer look; this is the application of a lot of money to the cause of looking casually chic. Chanel shoes and jackets, Goyard totes, classic watches.... I think an unbranded less expensive version could work, but it does require luxe materials.

As for style, clothes made of natural fibers and constructed with attention to details would work. IMHO, it is more about putting an outfit together.

Very Mediterranean! And a high-end, relaxed luxe vibe. Like, "Why yes, of course I take my designer bags for walks on the beach." (À la Angie and her Furlas!)

Agree with notsaf that Spanish style can feel like an intersection between English and Italian. Which makes sense, in terms of geography, climate, light and landscape...

Her style is lovely. It looks so effortless. I see modern, classic, chic, and very European. You may also this like lady @debora.carminati for inspo too. Not quite the same style but There are elements you might like. Her style might be a little more ‘crisp’ but lots of neutrals, and effortlessly modern xxx

I can really admire her style. She looks amazing. I couldn't attempt it myself as it wouldn't fit my lifestyle ( and probably my budget) but I love the look.

Natural classic very resort looking and Spanish/Italian sort of look. Definitely not French as it is a bit too flashy for that IMO.
