How to wear this pink shirt

I like color in general, probably because I lack it. I have this pink button up and am trying to figure out how to style it more interestingly than a plain black boyfriend style cardigan. My husband has weighed in, but I'm still not sure. Ignore the shoes--I just put them on so my pants wouldn't bunch up. The blazer in #2 is black velvet (a wool blazer is on my to get list), even if it looks blue in the photo. Pants in #3 are cords. All constructive criticism and ideas welcomed.

Love #2 & #4. #3 looks fine in the pic - can't really see if the weight of the fabrics work. I'm not sure about #1 - what about tucking the shirt & adding a belt?

I love it with the patterned cardigan - they really look bold and play well together. With jean jacket too - you could mix the skirt and jean jacket with pink top as well.

1/3/4 works really well to my eye.

I really like the layering in #1 and the different hem lines.

I rarely comment, but I have to say that I got a good laugh from your comment that you like color because you lack it. Me too, me too! It looks like we have similar coloring. I'm pretty sure I have that same shirt! I wear it with a denim jacket and black pants.

In your outfits, I prefer the shirt with darker bottoms. But maybe that is because I wear it that way. I don't like to wear black close to my face, but seeing your cardigan, I am thinking I should consider it. It is black and white, right?

I think it works great in 2,3, and 4... with 3 and 4 being my favorites.
Something about #1 doesn't work as well to my eye. The lengths of the cardigan and shirt don't seem to play well together.

Caro--I liked it tucked with the cardigan better, but my husband didn't. If I wore it with the blazer would animal print flats work or would it look to lounge lizard-y?

Renae--The cardigan is a gray and black floral print on cream/off-white merino. I bought it 8 years ago and it's been kind of a workhorse for me. It was a splurge by my standards then, but for how well it's held up, it was worth it.

Christieanne--I like the idea of pairing the denim jacket with the skirt because it's a bit more dressed down. What kind of shoes would I wear with it? I've never been able to pair tall boots with that skirt and have it look right. Could I get away with patterned tights and booties?

I think I also prefer 3 and 4. What color are your animal print flats? With 3 I'd try scrunching the sleeves or rolling slightly on the denim jacket to change the horizontal line a bit and just because I think it looks better. On 4 I'd try a pendant necklace with some dark tones in it. I think it could work with the #2 blazer with skinny dark jeans or ponte black pants and jewelry such as a long pendant with some black or dark tones in it for a dressed up look. In that case flats with animal print might work.

2, 3, and 4 work for me, 4 is my favorite of the bunch. I think the sweater is too short with it untucked in 1. Pretty shade of pink!

I like the outfits you have put together. I love deep pink and fuchsia and find they work really well with an olive green. If you have anything in this color, try it with the top and see how it works.

Man, I was thinking that # 1 is a good (stylish) example of wearing a shirt sticking out from under a short cardi. I think it really works on you, even though I have trouble getting it to look right on me. Turning back the sleeves, the contrast of the print, and just your great shape--gosh, it looks like what I THOUGHT a successful version is supposed to look like, FWIW. #3 is my least favorite because somehow the particular cords/denim combo doesn't do justice to the pink color--not sayin' you can't wear it with jean jacket and pants, but the pink really looks good with some cool color contrasts where it "pops" more.

I love the coloring of #1. I can see this shirt paired with something cobalt. It's a very pretty shirt.

I really enjoyed the pattern & rolled sleeves in #1. It seems very fun.
