Tonight at the thrift score, I happened across a bright pink trapeze coat. I've been wanting a pink coat, and although I have never worn the trapeze style, I think it works. I will post a photo when I can, but in the meantime, I wanted to get some ideas about how to wear it. (When it gets cold, that is. It's 100% wool, and quite warm.)

Until I can take a photo of my coat, here's a pic I found of one very close in style. Mine is a happy bright pink. I was thinking of skinny black jeans, leopard flats, and a black tunic. Or just for fun, over jeans and a white tee. I have been looking for the perfect black a-line dress, and when I find it, I think it'll look good with that, too. With kitten heels! Even if I don't get a lot of wear out of it, it was only $6.

Oh, and I have question. What do you think about having it shortened to mid-thigh? I feel like I would wear it more often at that length, and that seems like a more current length. I know that messes with the vintage vibe, though. (I'm not really sure how old the coat is. It definitely looks vintage, but it's in superb shape.)
