How to style these tunics?

Since I am from India, I have a ton of these loose, long tunics such as the one in the link below. Back there, girls just wear these over jeans, capris and nowadays on leggings.

Ever since I moved to the US, these have been pushed to the back of my closet. When I was working here in the US, I hardly wore these but now that I am a SAHM, I was thinking if I could wear these in casual settings but I have no clue how to style them to make them look more modern? Any ideas/suggestions will be much appreciated.

Lucky you!
There are so many possibilities! You could try belting some, layering with a denim jacket over, wearing them with jeans- skinny or bootcut, or leggings (regular or denim). They would look great with sandals, ballet flats or boots.

I agree with Khris.. you would look fab in these with jeans and sandals. simple and unique.

Yes, lucky you to have a closet full of gorgeous tunics. I think you could also wear these belted with a straight above the knee skirt and some embellished flat sandals. Please post some pics so we can enjoy your collection too.

Hi Preet,I am a fellow Indian and SAHM.You can wear these kurtis with leggings,straight leg or skinny jeans.I have tried wearing them with bootcut jeans but it doesnt look quite right.Since I am petite,I prefer to wear kurtis which are above the knee.As Refugee suggested,they will look good with skirts when belted.Since most kurtis are fitted at the bust and have a A-line shape,it will be a good idea to pair with a pencil skirt. You can try wearing the mid-thigh ones with walk shorts.Angie has written this wonderful post on shorts.

You must be fab with them!

I would just add jeans or legging, this is a statement piece, they don't need accessories!

I agree with Rute, these are stand alone pieces. I would only add larger earrings and you are good to go.

Hi Preet - I wear mine with skinnies, sandals, and a scarf tied in the Angie knot in front. A nice mix of East and West.
