Yesterday I went on a mission - find some non-denim pants. I came home with a pair of olive pants and burgundy skinnies. I haven't the faintest idea what to do with either of them. Today let's focus on the olive pants. They are wonderfully comfy, and I like the way they fit but I was unable to come up with an outfit that I liked. Now most of my wardrobe is down in my apartment, and I'm up at our little house on the prairie for the week, so I was limited in what I had on hand to work with, but I felt these were all more or less a snoozefest.
1) I tried to stay with the soft neutral palette, but jeez these are so boring I'm falling asleep typing this.
2) Then I remember that my beloved navy is a neutral also, and these are a little better - the center one isn't half bad - but nothing to get excited about.
3) And here's an illustration of why soft neutrals near my face are a bad idea - they completely wash me out. Navy, on the other hand, totally brightens my complexion.
Help me Fabbers. What would you wear with olive trousers?
