How to keep belt from flapping around

How do you gals keep the end of your belt from flapping around when you wear a belt over a top (no belt loops)? Thanks!

Don't you hate that? I don't wear belts that often, but I'd like to. I had that problem all the time when I did try, so I'd end up taking the belt right off. I was sitting here thinking about it and thought maybe double sided scotch tape would work. I don't think it would harm the leather or finish of the belt if you toke it off after each wear. I might give that a try later today. I think I have some double sided tape.

I the belt is super-long I tuck the end under the part that goes around my waist in the back. If it's shorter than double-sided tape sort of works.

Ok, I'll try the double sided tape. The belt is not super long, it just flaps in the front. Will the tape be sturdy enough?

i think its rather belt specific - certainly won't work with all belts. but i did try this with a green braided belt that has a normal belt buckle, and it seemed to work. i just poked the excess belt with the little bar thing a second time when i doubled it back. here's a picture of it, although it may not be the best to see the actual detail of the belt.

You can get little tabs of peel and stick Velcro. This is a more permanant solution to the double sided tape, but works on the same principal.

Ana had a suggestion on another thread...some special "stickies" she bought at Saks or somewhere that worked better than tape and didn't leave a gummy residue...I'm sure she'll chime in with the specifics.

Matchsticks--you can get them in the Lingerie department at Saks (probably Nordie's too).

Thanks for all the great ideas! Love the peel and stick Velcro idea (Nicole, where do you get that?) and the Matchsticks. We don't have Saks but I'll ask at Nordy's. I'm wearing the worst offender belt today and the flapping is really annoying.
